THE LATEST UPDATE ... FEBRUARY 2015
Please note that the planning application for the HMS Ganges site B/12/00500 is going to be reported back to Babergh's planning committee. It will likely be towards the end of this month or a meeting in March. The speaking arrangements are going to be confirmed by the planning committee next week (Wednesday 11th February).
Application B/12/00500/FUL .... Babergh DC's Planning Committee passed the application on 27th November 2013 despite there now being no Affordable Housing, and a much depleted s106 offer from the applicant. Cllr Rosie Kirkrup represeted the Parish Council and recommended refusing the application. The Parish Council has now submitted a request for the Secretary of State to 'Call-In' the aplication for a more balanced decision. Please click HERE

The Applicant has submitted further amendements to their application B/12/00500/FUL, which will be discussed at the Planning meeting of the Parish Council on 8th October 2013.
These amendments relate to the Environmental Statement & the Non Technical Summary in response to a Regulation 22 request;
s106 Heads of Terms and the Applicants s106 offer, plus a revised site plan.

HMS Ganges Ceremonial Mast
The Parish Council, along with many members of the public, has been very concerned about the state of the Mast, which is a Grade II listed monument. We wrote to Babergh DC and sent photographs in an effort to get them to put some pressure on Haylink to start renovations; Click here. New application submitted
A revised application for the Ganges site was submitted to Babergh DC on 16th April 2012. This application is currently being assesed, and if found to be properly constituted will be the subject of a public consultation. For more details please click here.
