The Parish Council review their Standing Orders (the rules of the Council) and Financial Regulations every year.
The Standing Orders were amended and approved at January's 2020 full Parish Council meeting.

An elected or co-opted Councillor is required by law to complete a Register of Interests form, which has to be sent to the District Council within 28 days of taking office. Copies of the registration forms for Chelmondiston Parish Councillors can be found on the Babergh District Council website

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
Under the Freedom of Information Act, it is the duty of all public authorities to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme. As per the Information Commissioner’s Office advice on the operation of this scheme, Chelmondiston Parish Council at its full Parish Council Meeting in 2011 adopted the new Model Publication Scheme, unedited and as prepared by the Information Commissioner’s Office. The Scheme was later reviewed and amended at the October full council meeting in 2018.
The Model Publication Scheme contains details as to the information that the Parish Council holds and the manner in which it will be made available to the public.
The Council also makes available information, which is required under the Freedom of Information Act.
